La réussite écologique et paysagère des mesures compensatoires : étude sur l'installation et la richesse des communautés végétales en prairie humide

Abstract : For several decades, every land developer has been confronted with the realisation of wet meadow within the regulatory framework of compensatory measures. The ERC sequence (Avoid, Reduce, Compensate) introduced by the 1976 Nature Act implies compensation for any destruction of wetlands. In practice, the restoration of wet meadow that are botanically functional and integrated into the landscape raises questions. This study provides some answers to ensure the long-term establishment of plant communities that are typical of wet meadow. From the ecological and landscape diagnosis to the management methods, all the parameters and factors acting on the vegetation process are measured. Based on the literature and feedback from 9 sites compensated by Yris, an assessment of each action lever is made. The geographical location of the compensatory measure, the definition of objectives and landscape issues or the evaluation of the landscape surrounding the compensated meadow are also detailed. The result is a methodological approach to wet meadow restoration projects.
