Prévention de l'antibiorésistance en pharmacie d'officine : rôle du pharmacien et encadrement de la prescription et de la dispensation des antibiotiques

Abstract : Antibiotic resistance represents one of the greatest public health challenges of our time because it is designated as the future main cause of death by 2050. In this work, it is first of all a question of carrying out a state places in order to understand the importance of this phenomenon both in human and animal health and through the environment. For several years, collective awareness has led to the development of various action plans at global, European and national scales. In France, nearly 772 tonnes of antibiotics were sold in 2019, making the country the 4th largest European consumer of antibiotics in town medicine. Regarding bacterial resistance, the most recent surveillance data show a stabilization of their prevalence or even a decrease, testifying to the efforts undertaken in this direction. In fact, action in France is articulated through an important framework which begins with the inclusion of the prevention of antibiotic resistance in the national health strategy and the development of a national roadmap. The roles of the various national institutions but also that of regional and territorial actors are identified in this work. The importance of the challenge, in terms of the proper use of antibiotics as well as the prevention of infections, has been integrated into the practices of healthcare professionals. As such, the public health role of the community pharmacist has been strengthened in recent years, in particular by the attribution of new missions such as the performance of rapid diagnostic screening tests for angina or the participation vaccination campaigns. Finally, this work shows the supervision provided around the prescription, dispensing and use of antibiotics. An analysis of the eleven specialties most recently marketed in France shows the vigilance brought to their use. However, a lack of appearance of new innovative products on the market is noted and shows the efforts to be undertaken in the field of research and development and the need to preserve the effectiveness of existing antibiotics.
