Sécurisation de la dispensation du médicament à l'officine : la préparation des doses à administrer

Abstract : Preparation of the doses to be administered (PDA), consisting in the bagging of the treatments prescribed for a patient, is an activity under the responsibility of the pharmacist widespread in institutions for elderly dependent people. Through this, the pharmacist guarantees the security of the drug administration and participates in the improvement of compliance and therapeutic adherence. This service would benefit from being developed for elderly polymedicated patients kept at home, giving rise to remuneration for the pharmacist and being able to claim reimbursement from social organisations. Although the PDA is widely distributed, it does not benefit from any specific legal framework. It is therefore essential to establish a quality approach at the pharmacy in order to harmonize this practice and to secure drug dispensing.
