Maladies respiratoires (Asthme et BPCO) chez le sportif de montagne

Abstract : This thesis will focus on the consequences of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive bronchopneumonia on the health and life of patients practicing mountain sports. First, the definition of asthma and its treatments. Then, a look at chronic obstructive bronchopneumonia and its remedy. Secondly, this section will cover the influences of altitude on breathing as well as on the respiratory system. In this part, development of the body's adaptation mechanisms to altitude and some respiratory diseases induced by altitude will be covered. Thirdly, the study of the consequences of asthma and chronic obstructive bronchopneumonia on patients practicing mountain sports will be carried out using a sample of twenty-two patients subjected to a questionnaire relating to their feelings of the disease during physical activities in altitude. Finally, a comprehensive analysis of the results obtained from this survey and discussions on what can be done to improve the practice as well as the quality of life of these patients will be presented.
