La scolarité d’un élève déficient auditif en 1ère année d’école maternelle : impacts sur les apprentissages, la socialisation et les pratiques enseignantes

Abstract : The purpose of this essay, is to question the integration of pupils with handicap in “ordinary” classes in primary school. In accordance with the 2005 law concerning the equality of chances, it is interesting to look at the way teachers enforce school inclusion in classes. The fact of welcoming children with handicaps, no matter which handicap, creates difficulties for the teachers : how can they include children with handicaps in the different learnings, in the class with other pupils, how can they favor their socialization ? This essay also treats handicap under a sociological angle in order to make links between some social phenomena and teachers’ attitudes towards school inclusion.
