Le numérique en santé en 2021 : quelles opportunités pour améliorer le parcours de santé des patients atteints d'hypertension artérielle en France ?

Abstract : This thesis traces the healthcare pathway of 14 million patients with arterial hypertension in France. From a theoretical point of view on the disease up to treatment as well as from a practical point of view on the diagnosis and patient follow-up. Digital technology is an issue that is already relatively well understood by players in various industries, but the problem remains unresolved for the healthcare sector. Several changes are taking place. Patients are becoming more and more involved in their disease. Indeed, the nesting of several routes allows the customization of their support. In addition, healthcare professionals take more and more in charge of them in a multidisciplinary manner; however, silos and archaic thought patterns persist that are slowing the ubiquitous deployment of digital solutions. The digital healthcare sector is in full reorganization: the State has decided, through the Ségur de la santé, to establish a structure around the digital offer. This need arises from the uneven digital use by healthcare professionals and patients. Digital healthcare is only one way to achieve the goal of improving the patient pathway in order, ultimately, to improve patient care. For the hypertensive patient, digital healthcare would in particular present the opportunity to receive and transmit a large amount of automated information. The data generated by digital technology could well enrich the current healthcare system. As the World Health Organization says: health is not the absence of disease but a "state of complete physical, mental and social well-being". It is legitimate to want to keep this state as long as possible. Therefore, the healthcare system must ensure that it is present throughout life, before, during and after the onset of any pathology, including hypertension.
