Risques liés aux plantes sauvages traditionnellement utilisées en Normandie occidentale pour la préparation de tisanes

Abstract : An increasing number of people are moving from conventional medicine to “alternative medicine” or “natural medicine” and particularly phytotherapy. One of the simplest way to use phytotherapy is the use of plants in the form of herbal teas. The objective of this work is to proceed a state of the art about the risks of using wild plants in Western Normandy (former Lower-Normandy). This work emphasizes the risks related to toxicity, harvesting, pollution and contamination, drying and preservation, and points out pharmacological risks related to drug interactions, misidentified dosages or potential contraindications and side effect. Finally, recommendations to reduce risks are proposed.
