Validation d'un module d'acquisition d'images hyperspectrales dans le but d'améliorer la sélection variétale de maïs par la facilitation du phénotypage

Abstract : The current environmental context results in increasingly important risks concerning crops, whatever their type. From hydric constraints, leading to more frequent and more important periods of drought, to the management of pests that take advantage of global warming to proliferate. The importance of having varieties that are both resistant and guarantee a good yield is becoming essential. The registration of new varieties in the catalog is the last step of a long process in which varietal selection plays a central role. However, this process is still slow, especially with the phenotyping phase, which is still mostly done by hand. Improving phenotyping would mean improving varietal selection and through it, better meeting the challenges already mentioned. It is in this context that Limagrain, an agricultural cooperative and seed company, and INRAE, a research organization, have undertaken the creation of a hyperspectral image acquisition module in order to make the transition to so-called high-throughput phenotyping.
