La prise en charge du Syndrome Douloureux Régional Complexe du membre supérieur chez les patients hémiplégiques post-AVC en masso kinésithérapie

Abstract : Recovery of the upper limb of hemiplegic patients after a stroke is often insufficient and causes greater dependence for these patients. The associated CRPS sometimes worsens this picture. The knowledge about this pathology is still limited, making its treatment difficult. The purpose of his literature review is to provide an overview of the scientific evidence regarding the management of patients with upper limb CRPS after a stroke. Mirror therapy, upper extremity aerobic exercise, and fluidotherapy appear to be effective with post-stroke patients without cognitive impairment in the subacute phase. Combining these treatments could help reducing pain and oedema with these patients and improving function, independence, and quality of life. The levels of evidence and the number of analyzed articles are low, and future research regarding the treatment of post-stroke upper limb CRPS is recommended.
