Quels sont les liens entre le genre cinématographique d’un film et son montage ?

Abstract : The relationship between the genre of a movie and it’s edit can be in the two ways: the movie genre can influence the edit’s practices, like the edit’s practices can contribute to develop the movie’s genre. In the first case, the movie’s genre can influence the edit’s practices by directing the general direction of the edit, without acting in binding way. The genre is not a specification to be followed strictly but rather a corpus of codes that can guide aesthetic choices. The genre can also influence the editing through the footage of the shoot. The genre is not the only element to influence the edit. The choice of the point of view can also carry an aesthetic for the edit.
