La réflexion éthique portée par le cadre de santé : un atout pour la qualité de soin ?

Abstract : Reflecting on the quality of care based on the singularity of the patient, this person, in a care unit in a Hospital Establishment requires ethical reflection as a team. However, the health executive, because of its position of proximity, is in situation to accompany them in this ethical reflection in order to tend towards a decision that is as fair or as less bad as possible for the patient. Hence our research question: to what extent does the introduction of time for ethical reflection by the health executive for the health care team, in a changing hospital context, contribute to the quality of care provided to patients? We therefore conducted twelve interviews with different professional categories, health executive, nurses and care assistants in order to provide elements of response. The latter show several orientations, notably a differential in the possibilities of implementing ethical reflection and the involvement of the health executive in this process.
