La pratique de l’entretien prénatal précoce et son impact sur le parcours de soins psychiatrique : étude monocentrique observationnelle descriptive et rétrospective

Abstract : Our monocentric and retrospective study focuses on the care pathway after the Early Prenatal Interview (EPI), of 411 pregnant women included over a year. About 21% were referred for a psychiatric follow-up after EPI. This orientation was associated with obstetric or psychiatric history, current psychiatric follow-up, smoking, drug use and complaints. Women referred to follow-up had significantly longer maternity stay and more frequent follow-up when they returned home. Also, their newborns were more often hospitalized at birth. EPI is a relevant prevention tool for the psychiatric vulnerabilities during pregnancy, provided that it is linked to the coordination of the referrals in the various antenatal and postnatal fields.
