Efficacité des matrices collagéniques comme alternative aux greffes de tissu conjonctif pour l’augmentation des tissus mous péri-implantaires : une revue systématique de la littérature clinique

Abstract : A sufficient volume of peri-implant soft tissues is necessary for the durability of dental implants as well as for the maintenance of gum health. This review of the literature focuses on the comparison between xenogenic collagen matrices and autogenous connective tissue grafts. Collagen matrices allow an increase in the thickness and the volume of peri-implant soft tissues as well as a stability over time comparable to those permitted by subepithelial connective grafts. Connective tissue or xenogenic matrix grafted under a flap surgical technique does not increase the height of keratinized tissue. Collagen matrices have proven to be safe and effective substitutes for peri-implant soft tissue augmentation.
