L’intérêt de l’utilisation des biomatériaux dans le traitement des péri-implantites : données actuelles

Abstract : The subject of this thesis corresponds to a narrative review of the literature, and focuses on the value of the use of biomaterials in the treatment of peri-implantitis. We will use articles published within the last 5 years. The goal of this project is first to describe the notion of peri-implantitis, to give a definition of this disease and to establish its different causes as well as its consequences. The objective of this work will also be to describe the different treatments used in cases of peri-implantitis, and mainly to develop the treatments that use biomaterials and to describe the latest results published in the literature. Indeed, we will first discuss non-surgical treatments. We will explore the different tools used within the scope of these non-surgical treatments, such as ultrasound, curettes, or even certain medications.
We will also elaborate on the subject of regenerative surgical treatments and non-regenerative surgical treatments, as well as on the various biomaterials that can be used (such as xenografts, allografts, membranes) and their potential usefulness.
