Impact de la couche inhibée par l'oxygène en dentisterie adhésive, revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Objectives: the aim of this study is to analyse whether the existence of an unpolymerised layer on the surface of adhesives and resins is a source of error in the fabrication of bonded restorations, and whether it leads to premature ageing. Materials and methods: this was a systematic review of the literature using the PRISMA method. DOSS, Pubmed and SCOPUS were the databases searched. Articles were then selected on the basis of titles, abstracts and finally a full reading with different inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: 14 articles were selected. Interactions between impression materials and adhesives were found. In addition, the results differed regarding bond strength and surface free energy. Finally, the shear and tensile strength did not differ significantly depending on the presence or absence of the oxygen-inhibited layer. Conclusion: precautions should be taken when making impressions following the application of adhesive in the bonding of a prosthetic part. In addition, the surface free energy and bonding forces differ depending on the presence or absence of the oxygen-inhibited layer. Finally, the shear and tensile strength is similar with and without this layer.
