L’impact du facteur alimentaire dans la maladie carieuse chez les enfants

Abstract : Diet has a significant impact on our general health and our oral health. WHO ranks dental caries as the third scourge in the world. This multifactorial pathology can involve, among other things, an unbalanced diet rich in fermentable sugars and ineffective plaque control. Apart from prophylaxis techniques involving topical fluoridation and sealing of furrows, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention policies and actions are implemented, targeting both its various determinants and populations at risk. In fact, if the strategies targeting fluoridation and plaque control are well described, formalization seems necessary concerning diet. The objective of this work is to take stock of the place, method and effectiveness of actions targeting food in the prevention of caries in children. This work was carried out by a double method : from a classic systematic review a as well as a textometric analysis of scientific literature.
