La bienveillance : clé d’un climat scolaire apaisé ?

Abstract : This dissertation was produced from observations made in a class of CE2-CM1, in which the classroom climate posed questions. Research on benevolence and school climate was then conducted to try to find a solution. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine if the classroom climate, one of the components of the school climate, could be improved by acting on the management of emotions and on cooperation, both dimensions of benevolence. To do so, a multidisciplinary sequence adapted to the needs of the students was constructed based on the theoretical elements brought to this subject. Questionnaires were distributed at different times to gather information on the classroom climate, on the management of emotions and on the interest of the practices proposed in class. The results of these questionnaires, together with a close observation of classroom conflicts, revealed that work on emotions and cooperation could improve the classroom climate. However, limitations were noted and avenues for improvement were proposed.
