Mesure des effets retest de l’« Alouette » et du « L3 » issu de la batterie « Orlec » chez des enfants normo-lecteurs de CM1 et CM2

Abstract : The notion of retest effect implies that an individual takes the same test at X time interval and that there is an improvement of the scores. The close timing of pre and post-training tests can lead to biases in the interpretation of results (gain or normalization of scores) that can be due to a retest effect. In literature, retest effects are scarce, especially in speech therapy, and that is why we have analyzed these effects among normal-readers children in their fourth and fifth year of primary school, with two tests widely spread to detect dyslexia: the "Alouette" and the “L3” from the "Orlec" battery. The first one is a fluency test with little significance and the second one measures comprehension. We first checked whether each of the tests had a retest effect, thanks to two time periods with an interval of two months, and then we compared the retest effects of each. This exploratory study on a large cohort has revealed that there is indeed a retest effect for both tests, and that the retest effect of the “Alouette” is superior to that of the “L3”. A new test has been scheduled after an interval of two months from the second one to confirm or refute the data collected.
