La désimperméabilisation des sols sur les villes de Libourne et Angoulême

Abstract : Soil waterproofing or betimusation of soils continues to grow in a policy of densification and limitation of urban sprawl. This break in the water cycle has consequences: increased runoff and the risk of flooding, water pollution, etc. The increase in the proportion of mineral surface in cities is also contributing to the appearance of urban heat islands. The objective is to target areas to be waterproofed to reduce the proportion of mineralized surface and enable water to infiltrate into the ground. This work is realized on the basis of a map of the potential for soil de-waterproofing constructed from the infiltrability and impermeability of soils. The soil infiltrability map is constructed taking into account the permeability of the soil and the environmental constraints to which the territory is subject. Soil waterproofing should not be done only via a map produced at the scale of a municipality or a larger territory: the objective is also to develop a waterproofing strategy that involves the writing of an action plan. These actions could be technical, social and required ones since it is necessary to integrate the de-waterproofing of soils into the rainwater management policy.
