Mise en place d’une méthode d’échantillonnage et d’analyse de biocides dans l’air intérieur

Abstract : The aim of this study is to set up a sampling, extraction and analysis method for 18 biocides in indoor dusts. After optimisation and validation of the protocol (choice of extraction mass, sieve porosity and number of extraction cycles, verification of possible contamination), a sampling campaign was organised. Dust samples from 12 dwellings were collected using a bagged hoover. After sieving, a microwave-assisted extraction was used to recover the biocides. The samples were then analysed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. 16 of the 18 molecules were quantified at least once in the collected dusts, confirming domestic contamination with biocides. The highest levels were measured for benzalkoniums (27,000 ng/g) and the 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one (1800 ng/g). The perspectives are to study the potential contamination by the vacuum system, to improve the questionnaire filled in during the sampling and to increase the number of samples analysed.
