At the beginning of the year 2020 with COVID-19, we experienced the near-suppression of schooling as we know it: the interdiction of contact in closed spaces, the impossibility of teaching face-to-face, the suppression of missions and invitations of researchers and the cancellation of international mobility.
This context motivated us to investigate the Internationalization of French Higher Education (HEI) during the pandemic. In this sense, our study aims to investigate how COVID-19 disrupts the "Welcome to France" policy and what processes are put in place to ensure French HEI in Latin America.
In this perspective, this research work stands as a source of new and valuable information, showing the break with the traditional model of internationalization, the discovery of new protocols of action and a strong resistance to change that denies the birth of a new form of internationalization: the virtual internationalization.
