Biens publics et Agriculture. Construction sociologique des Biens Communs en agriculture. Cas d'étude du Haut-Var en France

Abstract : This thesis is the construction of a methodology for the study of Public Goods among farmers societies. It is based on a case study in Haut-Var (South East France). Its shows that Public Goods are produced by an external guideline, related to Europe's agricultural policy, France State and the local area, but that Public Goods are also built by farmers. They operate different choices for their farms, prioritizing their own values and using different logics for their actions. These choices make their system contribute to the preservation or destruction of some Public goods. This thesis also shows that the new peasant identity, developping since the 90's is closely linked to this notion of Public Goods. A typology of the peasants met in the case study is to be found with an analysis of their values and logics used in the decision-making processus.
