Approche de la psychosomatique intégrative dans la SEP : étude de cas et hypothèse d'un modèle psychosomatique

Abstract : Multiple sclerosis is a neurologic, auto-immune, chronic and degenerative disease. More than 80000 french people are suffering and the incidence is growing up each year. During the last years researches allow us to create different physiopathologic models which allow to build some new treatments which delay the natural evolution of the disease and improve the quality of life of patients. Differents environnemental factors have been recently identified to be implicated in the start and evolution of the disease. Anxiety is a symptom largely discussed by neurologists, even if patients described it as a key factor for the inflammatory events. Through the literature, my experience, and the psychosomatic concepts, I tried to elaborate a psychosomatic model to explain the role of anxiety in the inflammatory relapse, which allow to associate a systematic evaluation and a treatment of anxiety and stress in order to change the evolution of the disease.
