Cannabis sativa L. : étude botanique et chimique : propriétés médicales et état des lieux sur la réglementation

Abstract : For so long man uses fibers and seeds of hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) , his use going back to the origins of civilizations both for his agricultural interest for its medicinal and psychoactive properties. The botany and chemistry of Cannabis sativa aspects are discussed in this report as well as potential therapeutic applications of cannabis and regulations all over the world. The field of medical applications of marijuana is very varied and many studies have demonstrated the beneficial side of its use in the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting associated to chemotherapy or HIV patients in the treatment of pain, neurological disorders, anorexia, glaucoma, allergic asthma, inflammatory syndromes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Divergent regulatory systems in the world and there is often confusion between legalization and decriminalization of the cannabis. ANSM was granted in January 2014 a marketing authorization for the drug Sativex ® while it is already marketed in several European countries and in the world. This medication only allowed to relieve spasticity at the patients with multiple sclerosis should follow the drug laws in pharmacies.
