L'apprentissage du français langue seconde : les erreurs interlangues chez des élèves en classe d'immersion précoce au Nouveau Brunswick

Abstract : In Canada pupils/students benefit from the opportunity to be taught in French; though it varies from one province to another and the programme selected. In 2010, a new immersion programme was put into place in the province of New Brunswick in order to raise the students' level of French. This new immersion programme is used as a base to our study. More specifically, this work provides an overview of some interlingual errors found in written work by 4th grade French Immersion students following this new programme. Our work is structured as follows: the first part focuses on the origin of interlanguage and immersion and their consequences. The second part concerns the context and content of our study. In the third part, we devised a typology of errors. The fourth part offers some appropriate suggestions in order to prevent them.
