Intérêt de la prise en compte du concept de résilience par le médecin généraliste d'unité dans la prise en charge du patient traumatisé psychique

Abstract : Taking care of stress‐injured patients is a major objective of the Service de Santé des Armées (Army Health Services). The military general practitioner is a central actor in the health care chain. Taking into account the resilience of the soldier should improve both the battle training as well as the command chain and the health care reaction to post‐traumatic stress disorder.
Population and methods: A transversal descriptive study was conducted among military general practitioners from the Direction Régionale du Service de Santé des Armées (Regional Direction of the Army Health Service) de Saint Germain en Laye.
Results: The questionnaire has been completed by 55 physicians (53.9%). All answerers think that they have a role to play in the care of stress‐injured patients. Among them, 51 think that it is useful to evaluate the soldier’s resilience owing to operational constraints which he is exposed. They think they have a role to play to enhance the resilience of soldiers especially after a traumatic event. The physicians consider preventive and care actions but although selection actions.
Discussion: The value of the resilience concept is underestimated or reduced to unique aspect of each individual. The setting up of right conditions for soldier resilience has to integrate environmental aspects which involve the military command.
Conclusion: it is very important for the concept of resilience to be limited so it can be taught and taken into account for its different aspects. Its integration in the psychological support doctrine appears to be necessary.
