Représentations de la dépression chez les patients adultes sans antécédent de prise en charge pour un épisode dépressif caractérisé

Abstract : Introduction : depressive disorder is one of the most frequent psychiatric pathologies in France. Knowledge and taking into acount of the beliefs of patients about this disorder are essential to favor a shared decision and a better therapeutic adhesion. Objectif : identify the representations of the depressive disorder and its treatment, as well as their determinants, in order to improve the therapeutic alliance and adherence to treatment. Material and Method : qualitative study with adult subjects of general medicine without history of support for a major depressive disorder. Twelve semi-structured interviews were conducted then analyzed accordind to the method of grounded theory. Results : the analysis of the data has allowed to highlight a number of misconceptions or confusions about treatment medication like the notion of dependence. However therapeutic strategy is well known to respondents and the general practitioner is identified as player in primary care. The collect data could be grouped in four concepts. Conclusion : the subjetcs of this study have representations varied about depressive disorder and about health, several determinants have been identified.
