Les élevages d'animaux à l'école primaire : leur utilisation comme support d'enseignement

Abstract : Establishing a farm school is a common practice in primary school. Many teachers lend themselves to the experience at least once during their careers. It is an interesting educational tool that can allow the teacher to tackle many themes. Animal farming can be used to teach several disciplines of the 2015 school program. However, this practice is subject to strong legislation, aimed at protecting students, the environment and ensuring the welfare of animals. Because of the difficulty of consulting all these laws scattered throughout French and European legislation, teachers can find themselves in situations of illegal practices. A guide for teachers or specific training is needed to improve the knowledge of school teachers. The impact and effectiveness of the presence of a farm school relies on the didactics put in place. There are few limits to what can be offered to students. The motivation and creativity of the teacher are the driving force behind the scale of the project developed. Many animals can find their place in the classroom, regardless of the age of the students.
