L'injection intra- articulaire de plasma riche en plaquettes dans l'arthrose de l'articulation temporo-mandibulaire: revue systématique de la littérature

Abstract : Osteoarthritis of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a painful degenerative disease with protracted morbidity. When first-line therapies such as mechanical rehabilitation and oral analgesia fail, it is necessary to seek new conservative strategies in order to delay TMJ surgery. Due to its healing properties, its autologous nature, and its high levels of growth factor, intra-articular platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections may represent a good alternative to surgical management. This systematic review aims to compare and analyse studies about intra-articular injections for the treatment of osteoarthritis in order to evaluate the effectiveness of PRP injections in the treatment of TMJ osteoarthritis.
