Abstract : A landscape that can contribute to the well-being of the inhabitants and not only to the satisfaction of the policy of landscape action and the development project, are at the center of the debate at the present moment. Indeed, the landscapes are in constant and perpetual change. Landscapes constitute traces of societies. However, humain seeks to meet his needs, neglecting the impacts of these changes on his environment. It has been scientifically proven that global warming and the massive biodiversity deterioration are due to the human activities, building sector is included. In this respect, sustainable development actions on the territories are mobilized to find solutions to these threats. Currently, the city of Rennes readopts constructions with "raw earth", a way to promote and develop the use of this material. However, this ancestral material with traditional construction techniques remains unknown by the majority of the Rennes citizens. It is within this framework that our subject evolves, it is the acceptance of this change during the transformations of the Rennes landscape. It is through a study of perceptions and social representations of landscapes in "raw earth" construction that we will understand the position of Rennes against this material.
