, Prises en charge médicamenteuses du syndrome confusionnel Quand ? : En cas de confusion et si la prise en charge non médicamenteuse s'avère insuffisante, en complément de ces mesures non médicamenteuses, un traitement pharmacologique de courte durée (24 à 48 heures) peut être indiqué. Il doit être institué après une évaluation individuelle du rapport bénéfice-risque, et devra être notifié dans le dossier médical. Peut se justifier dans les circonstances suivantes : risque pour le patient ou pour autrui, anxiété sévère, troubles empêchant le traitement ou les examens indispensables.
