Évolution de l’Incidence des Hémorragies Immédiates du Post-Partum et des traitements de seconde ligne en découlant, au sein d’une maternité de type III

Abstract : Background: Postpartum haemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal mortality in France and it represents a national priority. Post-Partum Hemorrhages by uterine atony are the main causes. A policy to improve the management of this pathology has been implemented since 2006 within the perinatal health network of Auvergne, by setting up and monitoring analyzes of professional practices, with the aim of reducing the maternal morbidity and mortality. Midwives are frontline actors in the prevention, screening and management of immediate postpartum hemorrhage. This work was carried out in order to assess the evolution of this work of prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage within the CHU d'Estaing in Clermont-Ferrand. Methods: We worked on all deliveries, beyond 22SA, vaginally and by caesarean section, complicated by a post-partum hemorrhage between 01/01/2012 and 31/12/2019 at Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital. Results: Figures show that the incidence of postpartum haemorrhage increased at CHU Estaing between 2012 and 2019. (…) Conclusion: Even if the incidence of PPH seems to be increasing slightly over the years 2018 and 2019, the incidence of second-line therapies is decreasing. This demonstrates the quality of early diagnosis and management of PPH at Estaing University Hospital.
