Les enjeux de la théâtralisation pour comparer des modes de vie au cycle 2

Abstract : The object of this geographic’s writing is to understand the stakes of theatricalization in order to compare lifestyles in primary school. The study took place during a streak in two markets around the world. Crossing two outlook, multiple readings must be intertwined : both on the part of geography teachers, by educators in educational sciences but also by researchers and playwrights. My writting therefore wonders at the same time about the place of a new way of teaching geography through staging, while also initiating comparison with pupils. The experimentation carried out in a CE1-CE2 class shows that the impact of this theatrical practice is significant. It showcases the student since he appropriates an approach, and it also allows them to reveal their investment. The class was motivated throughout the process. However, there was also a bad impact on student achievement. Indeed, geographic knowledge has been set aside to promote the playful aspect of a staging. Prospects for improvement are therefore possible and the results must be qualified.
