Étude du ressenti des internes de médecine générale rouennais relatif au journal de bord

Abstract : Intro: The transition between the second to third cycle of medical studies was different due to the reform of 2017, in which the teaching-centered approach had been replaced by a learning-centered approach. This work was interested in the experiences of general practitionner trainees in Rouen, regarding one of the educational tools of this new paradigm: the logbook.
Method:
Qualitative research using grounded theory. The collection of data was done through individual interviews. The participants at the end of the third year of GP residency were recruited by snowballing and purposeful sampling.
Results:
The tool itself enabled the acquisition of new knowledge. Reflective practice, resulting from the learning paradigm, was generally appreciated. The interns negatively perceived the writing of the logbook and, in particular, the close link between the tutor and the validation of these methods of learning. Several improvements have been suggested in order to improve the perception of the logbook.
Conclusion:
The logbook should become a living document which continues to take student experiences into account. This will produce an increasingly precise record.
