Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CCDS) is a canine disease of the older dog which, because of its similarity to Alzheimer's disease in humans, was studied early on with the aim of making the dog an experimental model for humans. However, recent advances in the study of this disease and its impact on the dog's quality of life and relationship with its owner have led to a change in the perception of the disease, which is no longer considered only as a means of modelling Alzheimer's disease but as a disease of the dog. Unfortunately, the current means of diagnosis are too expensive for an incurable disease. Therefore, cognitive tests are developed in the laboratory to allow the identification of cognitive disorders expressed by the dog without having an invasive action on it. With the evolution of scientific thinking on this disease, these tests have been modified and designed to allow them to be carried out in a veterinary consultation
