Vécu d'une hémorragie grave de la délivrance : impact sur le désir ultérieur de grossesse

Abstract : Objectives: The objectives of this thesis are to study life experiences of severe postpartum haemorrhage, its consequences on the occurs post-traumatic stress disorder and on the patient's desire for further pregnancies. Material and method: Retrospective study carried out at Port-Royal Maternity between 01/01/06 and 31/12/07 on 29 case-patients suffering from severe post-partum haemorrhage and uterine arteries embolization combined with 29 comparable witness-patients suffering from SPH treated with sulprostone. Results: 90% of the case-patients and 15.4% of the witness-patients had some signs of a PTSD. 70% of the cases seemed never became pregnant again because of a traumatic life experience. For the witness patients, the SPH experience didn't appear to prevent them from being pregnant again. Conclusion: Most of the case-patients have developed a PTSD which prevent them from willing further pregnancies. Realization of specific actions during the care of post-partum haemorrhage could improve the consequences on the traumatic disorder
