La bande dessinée en bibliothèque municipale : le cas de Grenoble

Abstract : Comic books have become one of the most borrowed documents in French public libraries; meanwhile it has gained greater recognition in the world of culture. Grenoble is a French town where Comic's sector is particularly dynamic. Comics' handling in public libraries reaches many points concerning readership, books processing, avoiding prejudices against the medium, promotion of cultural activities, and the digital question. Comics appear to be a proper way to think about what a 21th century's public library is. This picture of comic books in the public libraries of Grenoble points out their successes, failures, and expectations.
