Prise en charge et accompagnement des parents lors de l'annonce d'un diagnostic anténatal

Abstract : Objective : The objective of our literature review is to assess the best way of taking care and of accompanying the parents during the announcement of antenatal diagnosis.

Methodology : We looked for on databases such as Science Direct, Sudoc, EmConsult of the studies performing various criteria : realized in France, after the application of the law of March 4th, 2002. Indeed, the coverage of the pregnancies varies according to countries and legislation. We excluded all the studies concerning the medical care of a particular pathology and all those who concerned the organization of the antenatal screening of the trisomy 21.

Results : We held three studies: "Announcement and care of the idiopathic clubfoot" of Idhmida S., "Prenatal diagnosis of cerebral malformation with an uncertain prognosis: a study concerning couple's information and consequences on pregnancy" of Moutard and al., "Parental impact of the 3D/4D echography of labiopalatines cracks" of Escalon.

Conclusion : Various points went out again from our work. So that the announcement is the best possible, it is necessary to receive the parents in the peace and to take time to explain to them and to answer their questions. The weight of the words is very important, it is thus necessary to choose simple and clear words. The additional examinations allow to make a diagnosis and the most safe possible forecast. It helps the parents to make a decision. You should not leave the parents by themselves once the taken definitive decision. The support and the accompaniment are very important. It can be through meetings with a specialist, a psychologist, parents' associations.
