Élaboration d'un protocole d'évaluation quantitatif et qualitatif de la dénomination orale

Abstract : Recent studies underline several criteria affecting oral picture naming. The study of current naming tests emphasizes several outflows in naming assessment. Indeed, current tests do not show off the abilities of patients with important naming deficit. Moreover, these tests do not allow to identify the naming cues necessary to word retrieval. Therefore, we have developed an assessment protocol of oral picture naming which cues naming in case of first naming failure. Our test's pictures were selected according to visual and lexical criteria expected to facilitate patient's naming. This selection has aimed to put forward the abilities of patients with important naming deficit. Our test has also aimed to establish an accurate patient's clinical profile and to adjust naming rehabilitation. Thus, 7 aphasic patients benefited of our test. The outcomes show that our test offers a quantitative analysis of the tip- of- the- tongue phenomena and a qualitative analysis of the naming cues useful to the patient's naming. Our test also allows to establish a more accurate patient's clinical profile and to optimize naming rehabilitation.
