Les interactions entre les compositeurs français et russes entre les années 1870 et 1930

Abstract : Between the 1870s and the 1930s, composers and artists from France and Russia participate in many events, concerts, shows and gatherings, which are for the most part located in Paris. These various events and meetings allow each participant to become familiar with the music of both countries. Some composers gather in Salons, others befriend even beyond their various musical collaborations. These inter-composers relations enable them to discuss their compositions and creative processes. Thus, there is a better knowledge of foreign works through these international friendships. In some of these composes' works, we can find similarities with works and / or aesthetic of an artist from the other country. Sometimes, composers even integrate quotations from other pieces inside their own works. Therefore, we can observe at that time a subtle and light combination between Russian and French aesthetics.
