Réétalonnage du test de jugement et d'orientation de Suzanne Borel-Maisonny : épreuves associées de jugement et d'orientation et épreuves de rythme

Abstract : The purpose of our study was to upgrade to standards the judgment, orientation and rhythm subtests of the judgment and orientation test, created by Suzanne Borel-Maisonny, in 1949. Indeed, based on the observation that these subtests were still used by speech therapists, we bent over what they estimate exactly and on their utility within the speech therapist assessment. We saw that they supplied at the same time qualitative and quantitative indications on the capacities of judgment of the child, and on his orientation in time and space, at the perceptual-motor level. We realized a calibration with 107 six and seven-year-old-children, in public and private schools, in rural and urban areas, by the region Aquitaine. The analysis of our results shows a significant influence of the age for some of our subtests. We also noticed significant differences according to the public or private type of the school, and the rural or urban environment. However, we found no difference between the boys and the girls. The qualitative comparison with the previous calibration of 1975 highlights a global rise of the performances for these subtests.
