L'inscription de l'e-réputation dans le thème du contrôle

Abstract : The phenomenon of e-reputation is more and more present in our everyday life and it receives huge media coverage. This is the reason why it is trendy in our modern time. The fact that everyone knows the notion of e-reputation and talks about it explains this trend. Yet, in the end, only a few truly know what this phenomenon really deals with. The goal of this work is to try to answer to such a question by first linking e-reputation with former concepts and notions, which are essential to understand e-reputation ("Web 2.0", reputation, image, identity, monitoring). We will then more specifically focus our interest on this e-reputation: first from a theoretical point of view and then from a practical and functional point of view, by studying the specific market, which has been created by this phenomenon. In the end, we will try to link the professional practice of e-reputation with an older societal tradition, which is the society of control and auto-control.
