Pertinence d'un étalonnage spécifique à Tahiti pour la batterie de tests ELO de Khomsi

Abstract : Our work was centered on the calibration of the evaluation used for the Oral Language of Khomsi, targeting children starting from kindergarden to fifth grade. It was centered on the Tahitian population. Bilingualism is widespread on the island and the linguistic context the children evolve in influences the development of their language skills. It follows a pattern that is different from monolinguistic children. The speech therapists therefore lack the necessary tools to properly evaluate their patient. The results and conclusions of our study demonstrate that a specific calibration for Tahiti is necessary when compared with metropolitan France. The differences are significant throughout the trials we carried out.
