Profil neuropsychologique des enfants présentant un trouble neurovisuel à la suite d'une anoxie périnatale

Abstract : We conducted a study on 26 children aged 6 to 14 years (presenting neurovisual impairments following perinatal hypoxia, prematurity, or both) in order to assess potential neuropsychological profile related with birth conditions and presence of visible cerebral lesion on MRI. Our analyses show that children presenting both etiological factors present a dissociated profile between visual and verbal sides. We also detected interactions between neurovisual deficits and other cognitive processes, which can contribute to decrease performances in certain evaluations.
