Influence de la précarité sur l'observance de la contraception

Abstract : The influence of the uncertainty on contraception observance. Despite a wide range of contraceptive methods available to women, contraceptive failures persist. The socio-economic context associated with precarious situation make contraception difficult to manage. The study presented in this dissertation deals with the influence of the uncertainty on contraception observance. This work is a descriptive and comparative study of two populations of women: precarious and non-precarious. Main objective is the identification of obstacles to the effective use of contraception in precarious context. This study was conducted with 145 women through the distribution of questionnaires in two orthogenic centers in Paris. The results show a lower use of health care and contraception for precarious population. They also reveal difficulties of compliance linked to social disadvantage of women. It appears that precarious women have more frequent recourse to abortion. A global and more quantitative study would consider other barriers to contraception observance in precarious environment including the lack of autonomy of women or the cultural and religious factors involved in the choice of a contraception method.
