Les stratégies des fournisseurs de biens et services aux pêcheurs. Le cas de la pêche du bar sur le pays de Brest

Abstract : Marine resources are exploited by various users. The economic and environmental realities make that the fishing industry undergoes deep transformations nowadays which affect its economical sustainability. It is necessary for the administrators to understand these evolutions and the stakes they implement. Within the GIFS program, we tried to study the links between various users of one single marine resource, the seabass, and the stakeholders of the upstream of the sector, the goods and services fishermen suppliers. Thus, we tried to highlight the various economic agents (fishermen, sea anglers and suppliers) stakes and behaviors by taking a relevant case study, the Brest region. Without any pre-existent data on the subject, we led several surveys on these various populations to answer our problem. Finally, we have been able, on one hand, to assess the various expenditure related to seabass targeting spent by the (on-boat) recreational fishermen and the professional ones to quantify their respective local economic impacts and on the other hand, to identify their type of suppliers for the various goods and services related to their activity. Finally, we highlighted the characteristics and the strategies of the various suppliers present in the region.
