Les poupées russes ou l'identité de mère en construction

Abstract : Maternity is about women and mothers, men and fathers, unborn children and infants. It's a long and perilous process where body meets psyche. Childbirth creates a whole new family and establishes its status. Thus lineage is carried on and parent's roles are defined. Women have to come into their own identities as mothers. But sometimes, the process is not as smooth as expected. Some women can't picture themselves as mothers of the child they're carrying or have given birth to. Psychomotor therapy can help support the maternity process with its approach of the psyche and the body as a whole.
