Comparaison entre les modèles rigoureux et approximatifs dans la production des MNT

Abstract : The expansion of high resolution satellite systems had in a certain way trivialized the use of satellite imageries. This has led to think about creating methods in order to get the best out of these imageries even when some imaging system's internal and external parameters are not available for whatever reason. To cope with this unavailability, many approximate methods were developed, including but not limited to: Direct Linear Transformation (DLT), Rational Function Model (RFM), Parallel Projection (PP), etc. This work gives a brief review of all these models (rigorous and approximate). The quality assessment, as well as a comparative analysis of those different methods, are also discussed; by taking the RMSE results we got, using a real set of Ikonos scenes, as the basis of our study.
