Mise en évidence des effets de la scintillation ionosphérique sur les stations GNSS du Brésil

Abstract : Ionospheric scintillation can jeopardize the global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). It means speed amplitude and phase variations on GNSS signal which alters GNSS signal quality or generate tracking issues. This phenomenon is very strong in Brazil which is located mainly in the equatorial region. The study of scintillation index S4 and phi60 confirms dependence between this phenomenon and the hour of the day, the season, satellites and receptors positions. During scintillation events we observe positioning quality is affected by data loss and worse data quality. Ionospheric scintillation is more damageable on Precise Point Positioning (PPP) than on classical Point Positioning (PP).
