Si mes pieds parlaient... et si je les écoutais ? La représentation du pied chez des patients atteints de syndromes métaboliques

Abstract : This case study explains the research undertaken in collaboration with the Endocrinology-metabolic disorders clinic at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. The patients attending this clinic all suffer from metabolic syndromes and cases of badly fitting shoes. As a result of this research, several questions arose : can the foot representation problem be linked to a body image problem, is it specific to people who suffer from metabolic syndromes and can it differ from men and women ? A control group was recruited to compare this foot representation between two distinct populations and also to ascertain or to prove negative theses hypotheses.
